We are taking a minute trip to Atlanta from Tennessee before the Christmas Day festivities. And found this place by chance. What a gem!! Food was amazing, people were so wonderful and helpful, and the portion sizes were huge!

Arepa Mia is the kind of place that effortlessly combines hearty, flavorful food with a relaxed, no-frills vibe. You order at the counter, and there's plenty of seating both inside and on the covered patio--perfect for enjoying a casual meal without Their arepas are fork-and-knife affairs (or wonderfully messy hand held delights), stuffed to the brim with bold, delicious fillings. The meat was tender and juicy, while the veggie-packed options overflowed with freshness. Pair it with the cilantro garlic sauce or natta sauce--both are absolute must-haves that elevate every bite. Other standouts from the meal included the yuca fries (crispy and golden, with just the right amount of chew), the sweet plantains (perfectly caramelized and served with a creamy dipping sauce), and the empanadas, which were pure crispy and packed with flavor. For something extra decadent, the cachapa with cheese was a showstopper--a corn pancake stuffed with layers of creamy cheese that's rich but oh-so-satisfying. Overall, Arepa Mia is the kind of spot where every dish feels like comfort food, but with a vibrant, Latin flair. If you're looking for a casual spot that delivers big on flavor, don't skip this one!

I have actually been living right next to Arepa Mia and always wanted to try but it took some time. As of recent I was leaving school and decided that I was going to finally try some AREPA's! Long story short, I finally got my arepas and I am sold. That arepa was so good! I'll def be back. Thank you to the staff for all their help.

Arepas were amazing! The meat was very flavorful and juicy. We sat at the bar and watched them make the arepas from scratch. We also ordered the chips (the garlic sauce is definitely the best) and juices as well. The juices were very fresh! I think the pricing is very reasonable for what you are getting. The staff were very friendly! This is definitely a must check out!

the yuca frita is soft, warm, and sweet. The mayonnaise dipping sauce brings out a different taste to the yuca, but in a way that works well. I got an arepa from the Special menu. It is loaded with beef and other different ingredients, great flavor and texture.

Parking is very limited. There are only 4 parking spots in the back but the other patrons found parking somewhere. Order in the front and they will give you a number. Waiter will bring your food along with any sauces that you request. I ordered the Asado Negro Arepa with the Guava Empanada. The arepa is loaded with meat and grilled onions. I got some garlic sauce and mango habanero sauce to give it a kick. The arepa tastes great. The guava empanada is extremely hot so let it cool down first or use dinner ware. The empanada is good as well.

Cute spit to grab lunch. The biggest issue is parking, but we're were told you can park across the street. Arepas were good, but I think a little bit on the pricier side for the portions.

My friend and I went on a weekend around 7 pm. It was busy but not overwhelmingly so and the order process was quick and efficient. We got the yucca fries, a chicken empanadas, and I got the La Pelua arepa. The arepa is so yummy and flavorful, but my only gripe was how much juice was leaking out of it making my arepa quite soggy. The empanadas were fried well, especially the shell, but the filling could've used some more flavor. The yucca fries were fried well and came with a nice, green, and herbaceous sauce. Overall a solid experience and would definitely come again. PS- definitely ask for a side of the habanero sauce (very spicy but super flavorful!)

This spot is in a cramped area; there are a few parking spaces in the back, but based on my experience they are likely to fill quickly. The menu variety was considerable, and with the entire menu being gluten-free and a good number of vegetarian and occasional vegan options as well. If you like corn, you'll be happy. A got a tropical fruit juice, which always adds to the vibe. I ordered their version of a domino arepa, typically this is a bean and cheese combo but theirs had plantains and some sauteed vegetables as well. However, I was a bit surprised as I thought I might be getting a couple but there was only one. For what I spent, I wasn't that full. But it was tasty, and this is a cuisine I wish I could find more easily.
